Hello everybody,
Now I think I’m just blogging to blog. I’m going to miss it. I’ve never loved writing, but this has been really fun. It’s helped me stay in touch with loved ones and reconnect with unexpected people. It’s the perfect amount of “old-fashioned” for me (sorry, everyone; it’s not that old-fashioned, but it’s not up to date with the vlogging ticktockers—thank God).
Today, I took a motorcycle taxi to the Nusa Dua peninsula. It’s about an hour on the back of the bike, which makes you pretty sore… not going to lie.
Why is this post messed up

I wanted to journey so far from my home base because there’s a reef, which means there are no huge waves. I had to swim in the ocean at least once. Remember, I’m an extreme water girl!
The water there is crystal clear! It’s a tropical paradise 🌺🐠 I know I’m repeating myself at this point.

Here are some fun things I want to share about Bali.
One of the popular things is flying kites. There is always some sort of breeze. I’m not kidding you…. It looks like the sky is filled with dementors (a Harry Potter reference for those who need a hint). I may or may not have pretended more than once that I exist in the wizarding world 👀

Another thing… riding on the back of a motorbike feels like real-life Moonview Highway (if you get the reference, you do; if not, sorry, you’re either too old or too young 🤷♀️). See the videos below. Sorry mom. Sorry dad.
I enjoyed my last Bali beach sunset tonight. GORG.
Another cool thing is this stats list. It shows me all the countries my blog has been accessed from. It’s constantly growing throughout my trip as I’ve met new people!

I treated myself to a strawberry daiquiri and had a nice, calming dinner tonight.

Tomorrow, I fly to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, my final destination. I will spend two nights there, then travel to Tokyo, Seattle, and Bozeman.
Some things I’m looking forward to:
- Family dinner with competitive card games
- Breathing in the fresh mountain air. Yes, Mom, I will go on a hike with you 🙂
- Singing loudly in my car. I was belting Noah Kahn in the shower tonight and missed an excellent loud singing session. By the way, I saw him in Denver in June with Chloe Duffy, and it was LIFE-CHANGING.
- All my books
- Seeing my friends
- Hugs
- Conditioner

8. Not living out of a backpack
9. Not having sand in my bed. If I even have one grain I go searching for it. What can I say I’m a sensitive gal.
10. The beauty of a Montana summer
That’s all I have for now. I think I’ll have 2-3 posts left 😭 Hopefully, this will not be the end of the blog. I plan for copious amounts of new experiences and traveling journeys!!
Terima kasih (thank you in Indonesian),
Mahala
Ps. I reread all of my blog posts at dinner and I’m already feeling nostalgic. I feel like the me who stared has grown in so many ways ❤️… also cringing at some of the grammar mistake (sorry but not sorry).
