Hi everybody,
I’m deliriously writing to you from my flight to Seattle. I have tried to sleep several times but have had no luck. I want to sincerely apologize to my family for when they pick zombie Mahala up from the airport.

I don’t have much to report, but I wanted to wrap up my blog with a nice little bow.
I am incredibly proud of myself for going on this adventure. If you had asked me two years ago if I would be going on a solo trip on the other side of the world, I would have laughed in your face. I’ve worked hard on growth, and I’m extremely proud of myself.
It’s been so gratifying to realize I can go out and explore life whenever. Obviously, it would be amazing to go with my people, but it’s also empowering to know I don’t need to wait for anyone.
I think this past summer takes the cake for epicness. I got to jet down to Durango/Denver in June, be a part of my amazing and beautiful mom’s wedding, and travel the world.
It’s weird to think I’m not returning to my same room (I moved out before I left). Staying with Mom and Stef for ten days, whooooooooo!!! Things are changing; I’m moving away from my hometown and starting a new career trajectory. BUT… if I’ve learned anything, it’s how to embrace change with grace, stay in touch with my amazing people, and always find laughter.
Oh, by the way, because I’m an analytical stats person, I compiled a wrapped of my trip below:
Days elapsed: 46
Days I’ve thought about traveling more in the future: 42
New passport stamps: 5
Motorcycles ridden on: ~35
New friends: a lot
Tears shed: 7?
Sicknesses: 3
Cockroaches seen: more than enough for a lifetime
Things lost: that’s for me to know…
Regrets: 0
Thanks, everyone, for tuning into my blog. It was one of the highlights of my trip! Over the last six weeks, it felt like a companion. I will miss her dearly.
Alright, no more sarcastic, silly Mahala for now! Please keep in touch! I have loved hearing from you all.
Your almost home, girly,
Mahala
PS- I’m looking forward to a hug, Mom!
PPS—I just landed in Seattle, and it’s weird to be surrounded by so many Americans again.
Okay bye ❤️
