Hi everyone,
I officially fell off the bandwagon and am continuing this blog post about 2 weeks after getting home. The first half was at the moment, so the last half will be more general and picture-heavy.
I LOVE Austria!! The people are all super happy, and there are beautiful mountains and plentiful lakes. It is on my 100% return someday list!!!!!
Here are some pics from a hike we did. The Sound of Music lovers watch the video because there is no way I was gonna walk down that mountain without a little do re mi vibes.

On the way down from the hike, there was this little wooden hut that had handmade crafts. You just write down what you wanna buy and leave the cash, complete honor system.

We also went E-mountain biking one day, which is my kinda biking tbh. I was jetting up that mountain trail. Highly recommend.

One of my favorite parts of the tiny town we stayed in, Niedernsill, was this little lake that was perfect for swimming. I would be there every day if I lived there.

Here are some pics from another day in the mountains. We played a lot of Uno in random spots throughout the trip, as seen in the picture below. Most hiking areas also have a charming restaurant, so it was always nice to stop for a beer (I am obsessed with Radlers) with a view.

On the last day in Austria, the boys went on a huge, impressive hike, and Mom and I took the train to Zell Am See, which is the larger town near the cabin.
Here is where I fell off, so see pictures of Zell Am See below.

The next morning, the five of us hopped back into our very cozy car to venture on to Gaimersheim, Germany, which is where Stefan grew up.

Stefan inherited a large piece of land on his childhood property, and 3 of his siblings and their (grown) children met us there to camp. It was a blast, other than the million-degree heat wave that was passing through. But we made the best of it. To cap the night, there was a solo open-air piano player playing at a local church down the street. The melody carried through the air, projecting through what felt like the whole town. BEAUTIFUL.

For my final day, the boys and I drove down to Munich. There I got the standard Bavarian beer garden, and of course I had to have a pretzel ( I am kinda obsessed with pretzels actually). It was still about ten thousand degrees, meaning we could only do one thing… find some water and submerge yourself. AND that’s about it.

I moved back to Bozeman on Saturday, and the last two weeks since returning to the US have been a chaotic and bittersweet melody of packing, goodbyes, and heartache.
Now I’m off to the next phase of my life. As always, I’m crossing my fingers that it won’t be too long until my next adventure.
Love you all,
Mahala
